Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, titled “Pudhumai Penn,” on September 5 in Chennai. This scheme aims to enhance the enrollment of girls in higher education by providing financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month to girls who studied from Class VI to Class XII in state government schools until they complete their graduation, diploma, or ITI courses.
