Govt. rolls out VB-G RAM G scheme, replacing MGNREGS

The Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar Ajeevika Mission Grameen (VB-G RAM G) scheme was launched from Mukkavaripalli village in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, replacing the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).

Adani-IHC to set up $11.5 bn aluminium project in Odisha

Nationwide HPV vaccination drive against cervical cancer

Under the nationwide cervical cancer vaccine campaign launched on February 28, 2026, the government provides free HPV vaccination to 1.15 crore girls aged 14-15; India bears a quarter of the global cervical cancer burden with about 1.2 lakh new cases and 80,000 deaths a year.
