Nalam 360 is a new Tamil Nadu scheme under which everyone aged 30 and above will get a free annual health check-up of 14 basic tests at 1,257 Government health facilities. Health Minister K.G. Arunraj announced it in the Legislative Assembly on 17 August 2026, with an allocation of Rs.51 crore. It is announced, not yet launched: no start date had been reported by 21 October 2026. It is the first time the State has offered a yearly free check-up to every adult in this age group.

The 14 basic tests include blood pressure, ECG, haemoglobin, complete haemogram, random blood sugar, urea, creatinine, total cholesterol, serum bilirubin, urine albumin and VIA screening (visual inspection with acetic acid, a simple screening test for cervical cancer). The aim, the Minister said, is to find non-communicable diseases at an early stage and prevent them.
The tests will be done at 1,257 Government health facilities (The New Indian Express, 18 August 2026):
Along with it, the Health Department will start Home Based Diagnostic Services for the first time in the State: in metropolitan (corporation) areas, health workers will collect samples at home on pre-booking, on a public-private partnership model. A Positive Health Policy will be framed, with a Nalam 360 mobile application.
Tamil Nadu already runs Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam (launched 5 August 2021), which screens people aged 18 and above at their doorstep for diabetes, high blood pressure and some cancers, and delivers medicines home. In 2025-26 the previous Government held the Nalam Kaakkum Stalin specialist camps: 1,256 camps across 38 districts from 2 August 2025, which ended in February 2026. Nalam 360 is different: it is a yearly entitlement to a fixed set of 14 tests at a Government facility, open to every person aged 30 and above, rather than a one-time camp series.

இதனுடன், மாநிலத்தில் முதல் முறையாக வீட்டிலேயே பரிசோதனைச் சேவையை (Home Based Diagnostic Services) மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வுத் துறை தொடங்கும்: மாநகராட்சிப் பகுதிகளில், முன்பதிவின் அடிப்படையில், சுகாதாரப் பணியாளர்கள் வீட்டுக்கே வந்து மாதிரிகளைச் சேகரிப்பர்; இது அரசு-தனியார் கூட்டு முறையில் செயல்படும். நலம் 360 கைபேசிச் செயலியுடன் ஒரு நேர்மறை சுகாதாரக் கொள்கையும் (Positive Health Policy) உருவாக்கப்படும்.
