Central Government's New Policy

Abolishes automatic promotion for Classes 5 and 8
Applicable to 3,000+ central government schools including:
Kendriya Vidyalayas
Navodaya Vidyalayas
Sainik Schools

Key Implementation Guidelines

Failed students get two chances:
Regular examination
Re-examination within 2 months
If student fails both attempts:
Must repeat the same class
Special guidance from teachers
Remedial instruction provided

State-wise Implementation

16 states and 2 UTs have abolished no-detention policy
States like Tamil Nadu continue with no-detention
Haryana and Puducherry yet to decide
State governments have autonomy in implementation

கூடுதல் கற்பித்தல் வழங்கப்படும்
