Voter Turnout

Tamil Nadu recorded a voter turnout of 69.72% from a total of 6,18,90,348 electors.
Dharmapuri constituency registered the highest turnout at 81.48%, while Chennai Central had the lowest at 53.91%.
Women voters showed a turnout of 69.85%, slightly higher than men at 69.58%.

Election Results

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and allies secured all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu, along with the single Puducherry seat.
Congress candidate Sasikanth Senthil won Tiruvallur with the highest margin in the state at 5,72,155 votes.
Manickam Tagore from Congress won Virudhunagar by the narrowest margin of 4,379 votes.

Party Performance

The DMK-led alliance won:

22 seats for DMK

9 seats for Congress

2 seats each for CPI and CPI(M)

2 seats for Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK)

1 seat each for MDMK and IUML

The alliance's clean sweep improved on their 2019 performance, where they won 38 out of 39 seats.

Notable Candidates and Constituencies

DMK's Dayanidhi Maran won decisively in Chennai Central.
In Coimbatore, AIADMK's K. Annamalai lost to DMK’s Ganapathi Rajkumar, despite polling over four lakh votes.
The results reflect a significant voter shift away from AIADMK-BJP alliances, which failed to win any seats.
