Second Account: POSA rate + 2% balance
Post October 1, 2024: Zero interest for both
Multiple accounts: Principal return only

NSS Accounts (Post-April 2, 1990)

First Account: Current scheme rate
Second Account: Current POSA rate
Post October 1, 2024: Zero interest
Multiple accounts: No interest

PPF Account Regulations

Primary account: Scheme rate (within annual limit)
Secondary accounts: Merged with primary
Excess deposits: 0% interest refund
NRI accounts: POSA interest till September 30, 2024

Minor Accounts

POSA interest until age 18
Maturity calculation from 18th birthday
Regular interest rates post-18

Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts

Grandparent accounts: Transfer to legal guardian required
Multiple accounts: Extra accounts to be closed
Compliance with scheme guidelines mandatory
