Why Polity deserves a dedicated book when other subjects do not

Look at the weightage. In Group 1 Prelims, Indian Polity is Unit IV with 40 of the 175 General Studies questions - the second largest unit. In Group 2/2A Prelims it carries 15 of 75 GS questions; in Group 4, 15 of 75. In the Mains stages it returns even heavier: Group 1 Mains Paper III gives 100 marks to Polity and world affairs, and Group 2 Mains gives its largest single unit - 60 marks - to Constitution, Polity and Governance with Tamil Nadu focus.
