TNPSC குரூப் 4 தேர்வுத் தேதி 2026: 10 ஜனவரி 2027 (உறுதி)

The TNPSC Group 4 exam is on Sunday, 10 January 2027, from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM. This date is confirmed in Notification No. 11/2026, released on 6 October 2026. The last date to apply online is 5 November 2026.

Did the Date Change?

Yes. The TNPSC Annual Planner 2026 gave the Group 4 exam date as 20 December 2026. The notification has fixed it as 10 January 2027. That is 3 weeks later, so you now get about 13 weeks to prepare instead of 10. Always follow the notification. The planner dates are only a plan.

What the Exam Day Looks Like

One paper of 3 hours, on an OMR sheet: 200 questions for 300 marks. Tamil has 100 questions, General Studies 75 and Aptitude 25.
You must score at least 60 out of 150 in Tamil. If not, the rest of your paper will not be checked.
Shade an answer for every question. If you do not know, shade (E) "Answer not known". TNPSC cuts 0.5 mark for each question left fully blank. There is no mark cut for a wrong answer.
Mobile phones, smart watches, smart glasses and all electronic items are not allowed. The centre will not keep them for you, so leave them at home.

A Week-by-Week Plan to 10 January

Now to 5 November: apply first. Then finish Tamil grammar and vocabulary (Units I and II, 40 questions). Study one General Studies unit every week.
November: finish the other General Studies units and the Unit VII Tamil literature list. Practise Aptitude for 30 minutes every day.
December: write a full test every 3 days. Also write previous year Group 4 papers at the real exam time, 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM.
1 to 9 January: do not start new topics. Revise your notes, the Thirukkural chapters in the syllabus and the last 6 months of current affairs.

தேதி மாறியதா?

ஆம். TNPSC ஆண்டு திட்டம் 2026-இல் குரூப் 4 தேர்வு 20 டிசம்பர் 2026 என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது. அறிவிப்பு அதை 10 ஜனவரி 2027 என உறுதி செய்துள்ளது - மூன்று வாரங்கள் தாமதம்; அதனால் அறிவிப்பிலிருந்து 10 வாரங்களுக்குப் பதிலாக சுமார் 13 வாரங்கள் கிடைக்கின்றன. எப்போதும் அறிவிப்பையே நம்புங்கள்; ஆண்டு திட்டம் தற்காலிகமானது.

தேர்வு நாள் எப்படி இருக்கும்?

OMR தாளில் 3 மணி நேர ஒரே தாள்: 200 கேள்விகள், 300 மதிப்பெண் - தமிழ் (100), பொது அறிவு (75), திறனறிவு (25).
தமிழ்ப் பகுதியில் 150-க்கு குறைந்தது 60 எடுக்காவிட்டால், மீதித் தாள் திருத்தப்படாது.
ஒவ்வொரு கேள்விக்கும் ஒரு விடையை நிழலிடுங்கள்; தெரியாவிட்டால் (E) "விடை தெரியவில்லை" என்பதைத் தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள்: முழுவதும் விடப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு கேள்விக்கும் 0.5 மதிப்பெண் கழிக்கப்படும். தவறான விடைக்கு மதிப்பெண் கழிப்பு இல்லை.
மொபைல் போன், ஸ்மார்ட் வாட்ச், ஸ்மார்ட் கண்ணாடி உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து மின்னணு சாதனங்களுக்கும் தடை; தேர்வு மையத்தில் பாதுகாப்பு வசதி இல்லை - வீட்டிலேயே விட்டுவிடுங்கள்.

ஜனவரி 10 வரை வார வாரியான திட்டம்

இப்போது முதல் நவம்பர் 5 வரை: முதலில் விண்ணப்பியுங்கள். பிறகு தமிழ் இலக்கணம், சொல்லகராதி (அலகு I, II - 40 கேள்விகள்) முடித்து, வாரத்திற்கு ஒரு பொது அறிவு அலகு.
நவம்பர்: மீதமுள்ள பொது அறிவு அலகுகள், அலகு VII தமிழ் இலக்கியப் பட்டியல்; தினமும் 30 நிமிடம் திறனறிவுப் பயிற்சி.
டிசம்பர்: 3 நாட்களுக்கு ஒரு முழுத் தேர்வு; முந்தைய ஆண்டு குரூப் 4 வினாத்தாள்களை உண்மையான தேர்வு நேரத்தில் (காலை 9.30 - மதியம் 12.30) எழுதிப் பாருங்கள்.
ஜனவரி 1 முதல் 9 வரை: புதிய பகுதிகள் வேண்டாம் - உங்கள் குறிப்புகள், பாடத்திட்டத்தில் உள்ள திருக்குறள் அதிகாரங்கள், கடந்த ஆறு மாத நடப்பு நிகழ்வுகள் மட்டும் திருப்புதல்.
