The TNPSC Group 4 notification 2026 has not been released yet. As per TNPSC's official annual planner (Programme of Examinations 2026), the notification for the Combined Civil Services Examination - IV (Group IV Services) is scheduled for 6 October 2026, with the written exam on Sunday, 20 December 2026. We will update this page with the confirmed vacancies, dates and any rule changes the same day the notification releases.

Which Posts Come Under Group 4?

The last notification (No. 07/2025) covered 3,935 vacancies across these posts. The 2026 posts and counts will be confirmed only in the new notification:

  • Village Administrative Officer (VAO)
  • Junior Assistant and Junior Assistant (Security)
  • Typist and Steno-Typist (Grade III)
  • Junior Revenue Inspector
  • Forest Guard and Forest Watcher (with a physical and endurance test)
  • A few smaller posts in boards and corporations (Assistant, Field Assistant, Personal Clerk and others)

Who Can Apply (Rules from the Last Notification)

  • Education: a pass in SSLC (10th standard) is the minimum. Typist and Steno-Typist posts also need Government Technical Exam qualifications in typewriting / shorthand.
  • Age (as on 1 July): 18 to 32 for most posts (VAO needs 21). BC / BCM / MBC candidates get up to 34 and SC / SC(A) / ST up to 37 - and there is no maximum age limit for these candidates if they have studied above 10th standard.
  • Fee: Rs. 100, with fee exemption for eligible categories (counts from your free chances).
  • How to apply: online only at www.tnpscexams.in using your One Time Registration (OTR) login.

Two rules decide everything: you must score at least 60 out of 150 in Part A Tamil for Parts B and C to be evaluated at all, and the minimum qualifying mark is 90 out of 300 for all communities. There is no interview - your rank comes from this single paper, followed by certificate verification and counselling.

What to Do Before 6 October

  • Complete or update your OTR profile at tnpscexams.in now - name, date of birth and category must match your SSLC records exactly.
  • Keep your registered mobile number and email active - TNPSC sends alerts there.
  • Start General Studies and Tamil practice now. From notification day you will have only about 10 weeks to the exam - students who start after the notification are always short of time.

குரூப் 4-இல் என்னென்ன பணியிடங்கள்?

கடந்த அறிவிப்பில் (எண். 07/2025) 3,935 காலியிடங்கள் இருந்தன. 2026 எண்ணிக்கை புதிய அறிவிப்பில் மட்டுமே உறுதியாகும்:

  • கிராம நிர்வாக அலுவலர் (VAO)
  • இளநிலை உதவியாளர் மற்றும் இளநிலை உதவியாளர் (பாதுகாப்பு)
  • தட்டச்சர் மற்றும் சுருக்கெழுத்து தட்டச்சர் (நிலை III)
  • இளநிலை வருவாய் ஆய்வாளர்
  • வனக் காவலர் மற்றும் வனக் கண்காணிப்பாளர் (உடல் தகுதி மற்றும் சகிப்புத்திறன் தேர்வு உண்டு)
  • வாரியங்கள் மற்றும் நிறுவனங்களில் சில சிறிய பணியிடங்கள்

யார் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம் (கடந்த அறிவிப்பின் விதிகள்)

  • கல்வித் தகுதி: குறைந்தபட்சம் SSLC (10-ஆம் வகுப்பு) தேர்ச்சி. தட்டச்சர் / சுருக்கெழுத்து தட்டச்சர் பணிகளுக்கு அரசு தொழில்நுட்பத் தேர்வுத் தகுதிகளும் தேவை.

இரண்டு விதிகள் முக்கியம்: பகுதி B, C திருத்தப்பட பகுதி A தமிழில் 150-க்கு குறைந்தது 60 எடுத்தாக வேண்டும்; தகுதி பெற அனைத்துப் பிரிவினருக்கும் 300-க்கு 90 தேவை. நேர்காணல் இல்லை - இந்த ஒரே தாளின் மதிப்பெண்ணில் தான் தரவரிசை; பிறகு சான்றிதழ் சரிபார்ப்பு, கலந்தாய்வு.

  • tnpscexams.in-இல் OTR சுயவிவரத்தை இப்போதே முடித்து / புதுப்பித்து வையுங்கள் - பெயர், பிறந்த தேதி, பிரிவு SSLC ஆவணங்களுடன் சரியாக பொருந்த வேண்டும்.
  • பதிவு செய்த மொபைல் எண், மின்னஞ்சல் இரண்டையும் செயலில் வையுங்கள் - TNPSC அங்குதான் தகவல் அனுப்பும்.
  • பொது அறிவு, தமிழ் பயிற்சியை இப்போதே தொடங்குங்கள். அறிவிப்பு வந்தபிறகு தேர்வுக்கு சுமார் 10 வாரங்களே இருக்கும் - அறிவிப்புக்குப் பிறகு தொடங்குபவர்களுக்கு நேரம் எப்போதும் பற்றாது.
